An award-winning writer, Terra's memoir, Pushing up the Sky: A Mother's Story, published by KAAN in 2006, received national acclaim. Terra is a member of the Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers & Storytellers. As a volunteer in the mentoring core, she helps beginning and emerging Native writers refine their skills. In addition to writing, Terra has worked as a project coordinator for American Indian Health & Services, Red Ribbon Bridge — a program offering spiritual and cultural connection for Native Americans living with AIDS — and as a coordinator and volunteer for We Can, Pediatric Brain Tumor Network, Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network, Friends Of Korea Family Exchange Program, and Santa Barbara County American Indian Education Project. |
